Our Journey
Crafted Heritage
In 2019, in the heart of Lima, the vision of WIRA SHOES™ was born.
At a conference at the Universidad Nacional San Marcos by Yuki Seo, a specialist in the revitalization of millenary textile techniques, the first threads of our history were woven, inspired by the majesty of pre-Columbian textiles and the nobility of alpaca weaving.Â
This, together with an industrial heritage rooted in the tradition of a Spanish shoemaking area, the bimillenary city of Elche and a long experience in the innovation field, generated idea: to merge richness Peruvian fabrics and contemporary sophistication, giving to life a sustainable fashion brand that transcends borders, supported by strong cultural roots.
Zero Waste and Eco-Materials
That’s how WIRA™ took its name, evoking the ancient Quechua word for ‘wealth’, in homage to the valuable grease that was considered as precious as gold in those times.
WIRA™ emerges as a bold proposal in the fashion scene, starting with a footwear that intertwines culture and modernity. We evoke the rhythm of ancestral Peruvian cultures and the impulse of innovation, using natural materials and a ZERO WASTE process that embraces the philosophy of producing exclusively what is sold, pair by pair, without waste and reducing to the minimum the consumption of the resources.
Weaving Peruvian Tradition
Our designs pay tribute to the geometric patterns and textures that once adorned the lives of Peruvian pre-Columbian cultures, reinvented for a contemporary spirit.
Comfort and style are the basis of our creations; we offer fashion that not only feels good, but whispers stories of other times and tries to update them.
We invite every adventurous soul to customize their shoes, to let the ink of eternal cultures draw on our shoes.
A pair of WIRA™ sneakers is a closed life cycle, recyclable from birth to the end, marking a path of sustainability with a minimal carbon footprint.
This is our story, woven with a passion for the enduring, the genuine and the pure.
