Nazca culture is known for its impressive hydraulic engineering and its connection to the cosmos. Noted for the construction of aqueducts and irrigation canals that allowed agriculture in a desert environment, the Nazca are most famous for the enigmatic Nazca Lines, gigantic geoglyphs drawn in the desert that are believed to have functioned as an astronomical calendar.
